Leafy, historic and elegant Our Neighbourhood
Leafy, historic and elegant. Dublin 4 is the city’s most prestigious postcode. Home to many of Dublin’s embassies and diplomatic residences, it sits between the curve of Sandymount Strand and the Georgian terraces of the city centre. Developed in Victorian times, its impressive houses and wide tree-lined roads make it a safe and picturesque neighbourhood to explore by foot. Nature abounds, with the Grand Canal, Sandymount Strand and 32-acre Herbert Park all within walking distance.
Just a short stroll to the heart of the city centre, Baggot street offer’s a colourful selection of restaurants, bars and cafés. Ballsbridge village is also close by, and home to The RDS (Royal Dublin Society). This historic conference and exhibition centre also hosts the Dublin International Horse Show annually. Home of Leinster Rugby, matches are played here throughout the season and create a great buzz in the area.
Dublin 4 is arguably the home of Dublin rugby, with 12 rugby clubs dotted throughout our neighbourhood, between Ballsbridge and nearby Donnybrook. And with the world class AVIVA Stadium a short walk from Dylan, we’re perfectly placed for attending a rugby or football international – even occasionally an American Football game! – or popping in for a pre- or post-match meal or drinks.
